The brief was to develop a site that advertised the companies work in the best light and followed the latest standards in accessibility.

The site is built using semantic xhtml mark-up making full use of all possible meta data, alt tags, headings and title tags so that search engines can match relevant key word searches.

The interface employs jQuery for dynamic effect that users can interact with.

A Wise Signs

Sign company required a website that showcased their work and services.

I took the project from initial brief through to completion. I designed the site interface to be clean and easy to navigate whilst matching existing branding.

I coded templates in HTML/CSS and incorporated a JavaScript image gallery into the necessary pages.

CRB Associates

I was asked to completely re-design our company website. The main focal points being the services we offered and portfolio gallery.

I undertook the wireframe design, graphic design, HTML/CSS templates and interactive elements on this project.

To break content down into multiple sections on the home page I developed tabs using the jQuery UI library and customised the functionality to allow a slideshow controlled by next and previous buttons.

Braiform Flash Presentation

Braiform provides customised garment hanger and packaging solutions globally.

They asked me to build a custom flash presentation to showcase the Digital Pre-press & Design department.

The presentation style we came up with was that of a Apple coverflow gallery.

The Flash movie works by pulling images and text from a separate XML file that can be updated easily with new images and captions.

Calco Construction

Calco Construction required a re-design of there existing website and a basic CMS to update a gallery with new images/captions and a image scroller on the home page.

After designs were signed off I coded HTML templates for the home page and another for the lower pages and then used PHP to add the content management functionality.

The portfolio page has multiple image galleries which can be managed from the custom built CMS.

Midlands Health Academy

Flash Game

This was a project at Qantm college where I had to use object-oriented ActionScript 3.

The images I drew in Illustrator and animated in FLash.

Essentially there are five different types of object: bee, rain, flowers, webs and clouds. By creating a single class for each, I've built the game step by step, and then specialised the code for each.

FOTE 2010 WordPress site

FOTE 2010 is a conference held by University of London Computer Centre. They required a WordPress site with new logo to be themed to match there branding.

I decided to re-skin an existing theme to speed up production. I altered the stylesheet and updated graphics to replicate the layout I had designed in Photoshop.

Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club

The Aces Basketball club required a website to promote themselves, publicise events and provide a contact point for players and fans. The site needed to be managed by various administrators and be inexpensive to set up.

I decided to use WordPress as my CMS tool and set about creating a custom theme for the framework.

This site is currently under construction.

NHS

Involved in the complete life-cycle for building two websites for NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland Facilities Management Services.

Both would be content managed from the same admin system but one would be public facing and the other for internal organisations.

From my design visuals one was chosen and colour variations applied to differentiate the sites. I then coded templates and integrated database content.
